Q: Do I need to pre-order gingerbread houses?
A: Yes! All gingerbread house kits and decorated houses must be pre-ordered. We recommend calling us at 617-472-4729 to place your order and ensure availability, especially during the holiday season.

Q: What’s the difference between a house kit and a decorated house?
A: House kits come undecorated with gingerbread pieces, frosting, and candy so you can decorate them yourself. Decorated houses are professionally decorated by our team and ready to display.

Q: How long will my gingerbread house last?
A: When stored in a cool, dry place, gingerbread houses can last for several weeks. They’re meant more for display than eating, though they are made with our delicious gingerbread recipe!

Q: Can I customize a gingerbread house?
A: Absolutely! We can customize houses for birthdays, sports teams, weddings, and special events. Please call 617-472-4729 for a custom quote.

Q: What comes in a cookie kit?
A: Each cookie kit includes one large gingerbread cookie and one frosting. Available in Small (4″), Medium (7″), Large (10″), and Extra Large (16″) sizes.

Q: Are your products nut-free?

Store & Hours

Q: What are your store hours?
A: We’re open Tuesday-Friday 10am-6pm and Saturday 8am-3pm. We’re closed on Sundays and Mondays. During the holiday season, hours may vary—call ahead to confirm!

Q: When are you closed for the holidays?
A: We’re open Christmas Eve from 8am-3pm, then closed December 25th through January 3rd for the holiday break.

Q: Can I pick up my order at the bakery?
A: Yes! Local pickup is available and FREE. Just let us know when placing your order, and we’ll have it ready for you during store hours.

Shipping & Delivery

Q: Do you ship nationwide?
A: Yes! We ship throughout the continental United States. Shipping costs are calculated based on your location and order size.

Q: How are fragile items packaged?
A: We take special care packaging all gingerbread houses and cookies with protective materials to ensure they arrive safely. However, some settling or minor breakage can occur during transit.

Q: What if my order arrives damaged?
A: Contact us within 48 hours at 617-472-4729 or beth@gingerbettys.com with photos of the damage. We’ll work with you to make it right!

Q: When should I order for Christmas delivery?
A: Order by December 15th for standard shipping or December 20th for expedited shipping to ensure delivery before Christmas.

A: We accept all major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover), debit cards, and cash for in-store purchases.

The G.I. Ginger Betty Foundation

Q: What is the G.I. Ginger Betty Foundation?
A: Started in 2007, our non-profit foundation ships care packages filled with our gingersnap cookies, candy, and thank you letters to military personnel serving overseas and in the United States.

Q: How can I help support the foundation?
A: You can donate at our website, send us the name and address of a soldier to receive a box (email to beth@gingerbettys.com), or visit our shop to write a thank you letter for our care packages.

Q: When do you ship boxes to military members?
A: We ship boxes monthly and during major holidays to ensure our military heroes receive care packages throughout the year.

Q: Can I request a box be sent to a specific soldier?
A: Yes! Email us at beth@gingerbettys.com with the soldier’s name and mailing address, and we’ll include them in our next shipment.
