SHIPPING & RETURN POLICY

SHIPPING INFORMATION

Order Processing

  • Pre-Orders: All gingerbread house kits and decorated houses must be pre-ordered. Processing time is 3-5 business days from order confirmation.
  • In-Stock Items: Cookie kits and decorated cookies that are in stock will be processed within 1-2 business days.
  • Holiday Season: During peak season (November-December), please allow additional processing time. We recommend ordering early to ensure timely delivery.

Shipping Methods & Rates

  • Local Pickup: Available at our Quincy, MA location (215 Samoset Ave) during store hours. FREE.
  • Regional Shipping: Available within Massachusetts and surrounding New England states. Rates calculated at checkout based on weight and destination.
  • Nationwide Shipping: Available throughout the continental United States via USPS Priority Mail or UPS Ground.
  • Expedited Shipping: Available upon request for an additional fee. Please call 617-472-4729 to arrange.

Shipping Costs

Shipping costs are calculated based on order size, weight, and destination. You will see the exact shipping cost before completing your purchase. For large orders or custom quotes, please call us at 617-472-4729.

Packaging & Handling

All items are carefully packaged to ensure safe transit. Gingerbread houses and delicate items are specially wrapped and boxed with protective materials to minimize the risk of breakage during shipping.


RETURN POLICY

Perishable Goods

Due to the nature of our products being freshly baked, perishable goods, we cannot accept returns or exchanges on gingerbread houses, cookies, or cookie kits except in the following circumstances:

Damaged or Defective Items

If your order arrives damaged or defective, please:

  1. Contact us within 48 hours of delivery at 617-472-4729 or beth@gingerbettys.com
  2. Provide photos of the damaged item(s) and packaging
  3. Include your order number and description of the issue

We will review your claim and, at our discretion, offer a replacement, store credit, or refund.

Order Errors

If you receive an incorrect item or are missing items from your order, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery. We will arrange to send the correct item at no additional charge.

Cancellations

  • Before Processing: Orders may be cancelled for a full refund if the order has not yet been processed or shipped. Please call us immediately at 617-472-4729.
  • After Processing: Once an order has been baked and packaged, cancellations are not accepted. Pre-ordered items that have been customized cannot be cancelled.

REFUND POLICY

Approved refunds will be processed within 5-7 business days and will be credited to the original payment method used for the purchase.


SEASONAL CONSIDERATIONS

Holiday Shipping Deadlines

To ensure delivery before Christmas, orders must be placed by:

  • December 15th for standard shipping
  • December 20th for expedited shipping

We close from December 25th through January 3rd annually.
